MY SOLAR SYSTEM
Mixed-media on canvas
50x60 cm
2010, August
This painting is born as a reaction to a public psychosis created around solar storms and a total panic that the world was going the end soon. So, I created my own solar system, bursting with love and energy – for which there is no end. Actually, this painting is a promise: on the back of the painting, I have written this poem: “Until the end of time./ Until the last heart./ Until the last poppy/ We’ll last/ Through time”. The materials used to recreate this universe of my own are: gesso, medium gel, tissue paper and natural salt for texture, watercolor pencils, markers. 2 coats of varnish were applied to protect the painting.
OPEN-HEARTED
Mixed-media and poured acrylic on canvas
60x70 cm
2011, January
Flowers, sun, peace and light, love and compassion, blue skies and high hopes – this heart is an entire universe in itself. What I really tried to achieve through this painting was to strengthen my believe that, instead of open-minded, we all should try to be more open-hearted. Everything would look different then.
THERE ARE FLOWERS GROWING IN MY HEART 1
Mixed-media and poured acylic on canvas
80x100cm
2011, April
A soft, feminine side and a rough, masculine side are brought together by love. They seem two different parts of two different worlds – yet, they’re parts of the same heart, they’re inseparable. Touched by love, the two sides start transforming themselves: the feminine side is blooming, the masculine side is getting colored. And everything changes.

DISSOLVE INTO THE FUTURE 1
Mixed-media on paper
50x70 cm
2010, November
Dissolve into the future 1 and 2 are a diptych through which I’m fearlessly looking my future in the eyes and allow myself to dissolve into it. These two paintings started based on the concept of memory, but while they were developing, I realized I was facing a deep transformation of the memory itself: from an attribute of the past to an emblem of the future. I didn’t see it, I didn’t dream it, but I built it out of love, just like someone would furnish an empty room, creating his own universe.

THERE ARE FLOWERS GROWING IN MY HEART 2
Mixed-media and poured acrylic on canvas
90x90 cm
2011, May
This painting came as a balance between an outside chaotic world and the deepest places of my heart. It started to develop as a consequence of the changes that were going on inside myself, but it wasn’t until I finished it when I became aware of them. As I was applying the two coats of varnish to protect the painting, I realized this piece had been actually painted on Tchaikovsky’s Waltz of Flowers musical background.
DISSOLVE INTO THE FUTURE 2
Mixed-media on paper
50x70 cm
2010, November
Dissolve into the future 1 and 2 are a diptych through which I’m fearlessly looking my future in the eyes and allow myself to dissolve into it. In this second piece, I’ve let myself dive even deeper into the future, until I was able to capture its energy, until I was able to see its happiness eyes wide open, until I could almost organically feel it in my brushstrokes.
MY HEART IS MADE OF OTHER HEARTS, SMALLER
Mixed-media and poured acrylic on canvas
70x100 cm
2011, May
A heart can be made out of blood and air, dust and memories, dreams and disappointments, and – if we’re very lucky – out of love. When I started this painting, I felt that inside my heart were actually two hearts, smaller. All I had to do was to pull out the paints and fill them with love.
RED GIRL DREAMING
Mixed-media on canvas
50x100 cm
2011, January
I painted this red girl right at the beginning of this year, in searching for the time of happiness. All my paintings are, in a sort of way, illustrations of my memories from the future and this particular piece is a self-portrait in which I’m giving myself to this future - fully, completely, eyes closed and heart opened, allowing it to possess me, to take me over, to fill me with love. I’m giving myself to the future I dream of.

LOVE SINGS AUTUMN SONGS
This 23x42 cm mixed-media piece is a very special commission, meant to celebrate one of my best friends new born child. That’s why I chose to use only natural materials for putting all this together: natural handmade paper and natural leaves for a very nice textured background, acrylics and tissue paper technique. India Ink for the written message came as a natural choice also, as India is one of the couple’s personal symbols. The piece was made right in the morning when the little one was born and the message that the painting seemed to whisper was that “Love sings autumn songs”.

AND THEN I WILL BUILD US A PLANET
Mixed-media on canvas
80x80 cm
2011, January
This painting is another memory of the future emerging - a bridge between the present and what is still to come, a world of refuge, warm and secure, in which everything becomes possible.
The materials I used to create this universe are: gesso, medium gel, acrylic molding paste, glass beads medium effect, snow flakes medium effect, natural sand medium effect, egg shells, acrylics and two coats of varnish to protect the painting.
THE DREAM
Mixed-media & acrylics on paper
30x40 cm
2010, September
This is one of the dearest paintings to me. I start it without even noticing and finished it the same way, right away - I intuitively painted the whole piece, thoughts clear, artistically flowing in a sweet colorful indulgence until I got lost into the painting and started to dream along with the character.
POPPIES
A BIT OF MY EVERYTHING
Each custom painting is an emotional process to me, as I first have to deeply assimilate the story or feelings I’m asked to capture, and then pour this entire energy onto the canvas.
In this particular piece, the task was to catch the beauty of a young couple’s universe through the use of multiple elements that drawn their love story through time. The seaside, the boat, a field, sunflowers, blue and yellow – the colors which describe them best, the memory of a mojito they drank together and last, but not least, a beach for which I used a special technique, incorporating natural sand they actually brought from their trip. They chose to call their painting “A bit of my everything”.

TIME TO BE HAPPY
This 30x40 cm mixed-media piece was done as a reminder for its owner to enjoy the simple pleasures of life all the time, to let go of the past and fearlessly embrace the future, along with all the beautiful things it has to bring. As its message points out, the title of this painting is "Time to be happy".

Mixed-media & acrylics on canvas
60x60x7 cm
2010, October
A very special piece with multiple layers of paints and collage paper – I actually used some 100 years old music sheets, natural salt and rice grains to obtain this beautifully textured background. I applied two coats of varnish in order to protect the paintings. The sides of the 3D canvas are also painted, so there’s no need to frame it. It’s ready to hang.
