Here comes The Poppy Spree!

After my first poppy video, I was amazed to receive such nice responses, that it got me thinking:  how wonderful it would be if I could meet all those gorgeous people around the world who take a bit of their time to write me words of encouragement and send me their love - people I've never seen, but I hold dearly in my heart.

So while I was talking to my wonderful friends, Melissa and Tracey (who is also a poppy painter), I got this fabulous idea of a watercolor poppy party! I was so excited that I immediately started to write down my thoughts and the next thing I know: what I had there was the structure of a fun online workshop! Then, I got even more excited and thought of my other friends around the world who are also poppy lovers, watercolor lovers, ART lovers for that matter: Diane, who has always nice words and encouraged me from the beginning in pursuing my dreams as an artist, Jennifer (the two of them!), super lovely Kristina, Corina - my Romanian friend and fellow artist I got to meet through Connie Hozvicka's BIG, the amazing Lynna who's been a huge inspiration for all of us, wonderful Mary, beautiful Natasha, always cartwheeling and smiling, Indigo - our everday joy, Kim, Christine, Tami and all the stunning-gorgeous-so-supportive artists from The Painting Tribe

and all the other extraordinary people out there I haven't even met (yet)

and

I decided I should do it. I should invite you all to a party. A Watercolor Party. A Poppy Party. My first online workshop ever, which I'm creating especially to get heart-connected to YOU, to bring you even closer - no matter how oceans apart we may be. It's called "THE POPPY SPREE" and I'm pouring all my heart&soul&energy into making this a real painting feast. And because I really really want to share it with everybody and send my love out to reach each and one of you, I'm making The Poppy Spree a FREE online workshop!

So for the last two weeks this is what I've been up to: painting, shooting and editing. Very soon, a "workshop" section will be added to the web-site and honestly - I cannot wait to fill it up with painting and joy!

I'm making my best to keep you posted in every way that I can (if you take a look at the "Contact" section of this website, you will find several ways to stay in touch and choose the one that works best for you). But I admit with the work and painting and so many technical challenges to put together this Poppy Spree - the easiest way for me is Studio Margot's Facebook Fan Page: www.facebook.com/studiomargot. Would you meet me all there until we can get this party started and call it...a POPPY SPREE?

Love,

Margot.

nice sharing :)

Jennifer ran across your site and blog when sihacreng for fellow plein air artists. I'm in Texas. It's been hard to find fellow plein air artists online. love your paintings of France and Italy. I've not been fortunate enough yet to travel to Europe, but hope to in the near future. I love your loose style in your plein airs and just the right amount of polish in your large canvases. I'll check back on you from time to time and see what you're up to! Happy painting! Vickie
